About Work Money Tax
Independent site — please read
workmoneytax.com is a private, independent website. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency, including the IRS, SSA, U.S. Department of Labor, any state workforce or revenue agency, or the CRA. For official determinations, use the official agency links provided on each page.
What this site is
Work Money Tax is a free hub of calculators and reference tables for the money side of work: state unemployment benefits for all 50 states and DC, severance and layoff math, self-employment and quarterly estimated taxes for 1099, gig, and creator income, nanny and household-employer payroll, and take-home pay for every US state and Canadian province. Estimates only — the IRS, the SSA, your state workforce or revenue agency, or the CRA always makes the actual determination, and every page links to the official source it derives from.
Our mission: verified work-and-tax math
Tax and benefit math is exacting, and most sites get it approximately right. We hold ourselves to a stricter rule: no unverified number, ever. Every changing figure — withholding tables, tax rates, wage bases, benefit maximums, contribution limits — lives in a versioned rule pack that records its official source URL, effective year, and the date we last verified it. Each calculator displays that provenance on the page. When a figure goes stale, the tool says so loudly instead of quietly guessing.
Privacy by architecture
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your wages, severance figures, 1099 income, and household payroll details are never transmitted to us or anyone else — there is no account system and nothing to store. Analytics and ads load only after cookie consent. Read the full Privacy Policy.
